Back in September a coalition of MA-based LGBTQ groups delivered thousands of signatures to @warren.senate.gov office.

We requested a meeting. She ignored us.

She couldn't even look LGBTQ youth in the face and tell them she was going to vote against them

“But the Biden administration’s move to Calibri prompted some grumbling from some traditionalists who preferred Times New Roman. Mr. Blinken also changed the standard font size, from 14-point to 15-point, requiring extra keystrokes that some diplomats found annoying.”
“Then-Secretary of State Blinken ordered the 2023 typeface shift on the recommendation of the State Department’s office of diversity and inclusion ... The change was meant to improve accessibility for readers with disabilities, such as low vision and dyslexia ...”
I don't even know what is satire anymore.

Holy smokes, you do not want to miss @micahloewinger.bsky.social’s interview with Cam Higby. I feel like we’re all thirsty for journalists who actually *push back*, as Micah repeatedly and skillfully does here.
The show is up and it’s SPICY! Ft. @danlamothe.bsky.social on leaving the pentagon, @annamerlan.bsky.social on the new pentagon press corps and Laura Poitras on her new movie “Cover Up.” Oh and pod bonus @micahloewinger.bsky.social spoke with Cam Higby about his new role. pca.st/episode/f23f...

No-strings-attached, zero-means-testing, no-questions-asked cash payouts have been proven, over and over again, to be the most effective form of charity/aid going.

It gets people in housing, and it saves the state money. We know this. It's fact, not theory.
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Particularly if I’m speaking from the perspective of a marginalized group and lived experience within it, I don’t owe you squat, and YTA for making demands. Google (or your preferred search engine) is *right there.*

I have never liked Ruben Gallego and should have been less surprised by this than I initially was. What a fucking dickwad.
1. Over Thanksgiving, texts from Dem. Sen Ruben Gallego leaked where he repeats far-right talking points on masculinity, lamenting that Democratic women "look like men."

Using far-right gender-panic rhetoric will not ingratiate the Democratic Party towards men.

“Identity politics” strikes me similarly as “politically correct.” It’s a term invented to denigrate a simple but fundamental ask: Respect who people are and don’t legislate away their existence. Until we can manage to do that, that’s what everything *should* be about. Being angry about it is weird.
