The thing I wish people understood about "harmful" fiction is even fiction that "reinforces bad stuff" can only do that because that stuff is already socially normal.

Fiction *can* reinforce structural racism. It will not reinforce incest. & neither of these issues is prevented by killing the work.

A few weeks after he took over SOCOM Holsey met with Hegseth on a secure video conference, and received his marching orders. “You’re either on the team or you’re not,” Hegseth told Holsey, according to notes from a participant. “When you get an order, you move out fast and don’t ask questions.”
Wow, Adm. Holsey didn't leave of his own accord, Hegseth pushed him out. What looked like the SOCOM head resigning rather than do war crimes now looks like SecDef canning him to facilitate war crimes.

Congress should have him testify, and would've already if war-crime-sympathetic GOP didn't run it.
Exclusive | Hegseth Asked Top Admiral to Resign After Months of Discord
The relationship between the Pentagon chief and Adm. Alvin Holsey had been rocky since Trump’s inauguration.

WHO CARES HOW MUCH USPS LOST IN 2025?? FFS, understand the point of the postal service, for god's sake. It's a service, not a business! It has "service" built into the name!
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

USPS posted a *$9 billion* loss in 2025.
Amazon explores cutting ties with USPS, building its own delivery network
Amazon looks into expanding its nationwide delivery network and giving up its longstanding partnership with the U.S. Postal Service.

tbh everybody I've mentioned this to who's seen it has been like "ohhh I didn't even think of that but yeah no makes sense probably you shouldn't watch the rest tbh" so just a heads up to fellow psychotic folks: this is a rough one for us
honestly pluribus episode 1 (I haven't continued with it, too fraught) may be one of the most accurate depictions of what being psychotic feels like I've ever seen outside of nightmares. I don't love that they're using that to advertise it. that's an example you CAN'T just opt out of

If the FDA has proof that vaccines killed children, it needs to release that evidence immediately.
So, let's play make-believe and pretend that Prasad has rock solid proof the vaccine killed 10 kids.

He is now sitting on it, refusing to give doctors on the ground the information they need to inform their patients.

The opposite of radical transparency.

FDA says it won't release details of claimed Covid vaccine deaths in 'near term'
Details from an investigation by CBER Director Vinay Prasad into 10 alleged child deaths related to Covid-19 vaccines won't be coming soon, an FDA spokesperson told Endpoints News on Wednesday.

Here's the thing, though: There's joy in also just doing the nice thing for people! Accommodating those who don't "need" it isn't Letting Them Get Away With It — it's just being nice! If you must, it's being generous to them. That's okay, you're a generous person! Let yourself be okay with that.

An experienced organizer I really respect once reminded folks "you can't always win, but you can always, always inflict a cost. Those add up."
You cannot match the size and resources of these organizations that are abandoning trans youth and sacrificing trans lives, but you have one advantage they do not: an ability to maintain a relentless focus upon them.

Make it your work, every week, to think about how you can punish them.
