A normal is a vector that points perpendicular to a surface. Useful in topology and 3D programming for finding curvature or establishing local coordinate systems that align with that surface.

Like, I'm here ready to play a game, and now the game is asking me to play Russian roulette. I could join a server full of people who I'd become friends with for life. Or just as easily wind up in a server full of serial killers.
