Why not just make it possible for people to live their lives the way they live it? feed all the kids at school a hot nutritious lunch even if their daddy rich and their momma good looking. Let everybody go to the doctor free at point of use because wealth taxes cover it. budget so the bus is free.

You just give people benefits.
Fairly universally the "freeloader" on these systems are less of a strain than the benefits they provide.
You just do the thing and accept maybe someone has a handicap parking allowance that they don't absolutely need.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?
