If your first response to someone calling out the harm done to them is shutting them down and shouting over them, you're part of the problem and causing more harm. Listen when people talk about the shit they face, support the person, and do what you can to reduce said harm. It's easy af to do.

People often get at me for not speaking up about some issues or people that have done bad things. And the thing is when I do speak up. I am not believed, I get harassed and all the people that encouraged me to speak up turn against me. So I pick my own battles carefully now.
