Last week I produced a video for Guardian Australia on expanded Victoria police search powers in the Melbourne CBD. Days later, I experienced that power first-hand.
I was covering Sunday’s Put Australia First Rally in Melbourne. The area had just become a ‘designated area’ for six months mere hours earlier. The protest had just begun. Agreed. I grew up with it. Police had plenty of warning about Hannah & her 3 kids but blamed her. She & her kids were burned alive & coppers involved aren’t accountable, with one being promoted to superintendent. It’s an obscene police force that rewards its own who fail to protect the vulnerable.

If 🇦🇺 reduces immigration, regional towns will likely be the most severely impacted. 🇦🇺 can attribute its skilled worker shortages in regional areas to over a decade of reduced education & TAFE funding by the LNP, which has left these towns struggling to attract skilled workers.
