Great question, I uploaded an answer to that to my Patreon subscribers, but I opened it up b/c I think they've had exclusivity for a few months and this may be of interest to a wider audience:

Took some glamour shots of my recently painted Drycha Hamadreth. Crystal on the base resin-cast by my partner.

a miniature of Drycha Hamadreth, from Age of Sigmar. She is a pale blue spirit, whose torso and head is visible within a larger body made of wood with honeycomb-like segments. a miniature of Drycha Hamadreth, from Age of Sigmar. This is a very interesting initiative from @humanrightsvicky.bsky.social. Not wholly free of difficulty - what is? - but a very novel approach to the UK's profound backsliding on trans rights.

We have jointly applied to the Council of Europe formally to seek re-opening of enforcement of the case of Goodwin v UK under rule 9 of the Rules for the supervision of the execution of judgments and of the terms of friendly settlements, in the European Court of Human Rights. T

Solidarity with Zack. I can't imagine what it's like trying to have a difficult, nuanced, grown up conversation about an incredibly serious issue and while being constantly shouted at in that way. It's a nightmare just watching.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

NHS England will soon be publishing its review of adult gender services. Trans Healthcare Coalition have created a breakdown of what the review is about, what outcomes we’d like to see, and more.

[1/5] I'll freely admit that a big part of my preoccupation with Big Stupid Tables (BSTs) in tabletop RPG design is for the bit, but it's not JUST a bit. There's a very specific thesis about what "story" in the context of tabletop RPGs means lurking in there.

“Ministers keep telling us what they have done, but voters aren’t hearing them. If the government has a communications strategy, it isn’t working,” writes @peterkellner.bsky.social.
