Ahmed el Ahmed is the hero
Hero. ❤️

'43-year-old father of two, Ahmed el Ahmed, wrestled a rifle off one of the Bondi Beach gunmen. Ahmed is from Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and owns a fruit business. He has no known experience with guns and was visiting Bondi when he saw the shooting unfolding.

“Goodreads sleuthing” 👀🫨🧐
Extremely insane story involving Goodreads sleuthing, the guy steering policy on women in the military being into a lot of weird/dark/unfaithful sex stuff, AND Jack Posobiac apparently threatening the journalist reporting it
This is a really disturbing story on several levels and certainly anyone who interacts with the Pentagon specifically or the administration more generally should read it:

I love everything about this ad, from the graphic design to her energy to what feels like a FANTASTIC messaging angle for progressives coming for the Senate Dems that keep rolling over. the "do-nothings" angle feels like it could really, really land. I'm excited about this!
I’m running for the U.S. Senate so the people who built Colorado can take back control of our healthcare, our homes, and our futures.
Working people built Colorado, we deserve a government that finally works for us.

Any time corporate executives are in a room together and don't know they're being recorded, the transcript is like: "Christ, I hate our customers. We're agreed that we all hate our customers? Let's lie to the IRS, criminally. Did I mention the Holocaust never happened? Put more lead in our soda."

My wokest opinion is that constitutive luck is the only reason anyone is particularly good or successful at anything. No one chooses their own kindergarten teacher
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

It didn’t go far enough. It never went far enough.
Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

is this three hops theory going to be used with the epstein files
This three-hops theory is especially insane. Even if you assume each person is connected to only 100 other people, there are 1m people within three hops of every suspected drug trafficker—and remember that even *known* drug traffickers aren’t legitimate targets. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/30/u...

Here’s what they actually thought: they’ll just go after the left wing Bad Jews (who aren’t really Jews so it’s ok) but we’re the Good Jews so it will be fine. joelhs.bsky.social/post/3m4gzansohs2a
The Jewish right discovering in real time that the Trumpist right, and the open bigotries it has unleashed upon the US body politic, is not in fact going to spare Jews, is quite a trip.
