sidenote: if you are a person who has ever had anything that a 19th century man with a beard and a cigar would describe as "hysterical symptoms" you WILL listen to some of the Standard Edition episodes and go sit and stare at the wall for a few hours. but, like. in a good, useful, productive way

i would have never explored Freud's case studies without being an OU member. it's a cliche but i honestly do feel enriched -- i know so much more about Freud (in all his complexity), his colleagues, the history of psychology, 19th century European society, and myself. cannot recommend highly enough

No more excuses for not having read *the* book of the year on the working poor & homelessness. A book that fundamentally challenges the conventional definition of "homeless," one that shines a light on exploitation & profitmaking out of all of this and does so through powerful, personal stories.
If cost has kept you from picking up There Is No Place for Us (which is totally understandable), good news: the ebook is *$1.99* today—93% off!—on Kindle, B&N, Bookshop, and elsewhere.

So grateful to everyone who's been reading and sharing the book this year. It means a lot.
