Big news today for the #Broncos and for our community. Here’s my take — what’s yours?

I am excited that the Broncos have reaffirmed their commitment to staying in Denver by naming Burnham Yard as their preferred site to build a new stadium! Their intention to engage in a community benefits agreement process is a particular point of pride for the future of our community.

Back in 2022, I amended the proposed statute regarding the sale and development of Burnham Yard to ensure that the registered neighborhood organizations in La Alma/Lincoln Park, Baker, Sun Valley, and disproportionately impacted communities be at the table as these development plans begin, and not as an afterthought. I am glad that the Broncos recognize the importance of that engagement with the community.

I know that there are many questions ahead, and to that end, I hope you reach out and share your thoughts, concerns and ideas! I will continue to work to ensure that resident voices are heard and respected as we embark in this important process.
