Hmm.

Four news articles (on Meta, Suno, general social media platforms, Simon Fraser University) that mention the use of gen ai, already exploitative on its face, to specifically simulate Black women. Essentially profiting from the binary of hypervisibility (especially with regards to social media and pop culture, tastemaking, cultural production, education) and dehumanization that Black people experience, in general and Black women experience in certain ways.

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Rana. Rana was studying to work in a medical laboratory before the war and her husband owned a small gift shop. Their home and shop were destroyed. They have two children Hamoud, 3 and Tota, 7. Hamoud’s eyes were injured and needs treatment.

There are many organizations sitting on millions of dollars that people from around the world donated for the people of Gaza. This money needs to get to the people it was meant for so they don't have to beg anymore

The way that our full identities are dismissed is exhausting. You see it when people try to separate Black ppl from the LGBTQIA+ community. Or when it’s time to discuss ICE. Everyone understands intersectionality until it comes to us.

So a couple people have now hinted at the idea that Black people didn’t have it so bad post-9/11 because Muslims had it bad. This ignores that there were and are a lot of Black Muslims. This also ignores that more than one group of people can be targeted for state violence. It’s never just one group
