I spent one summer in the 1970s working out of a lockup garage welding rusty cars to get them through their MOT. There’s nothing quite like being dripped on by molten underseal and being set on fire multiple times a day with only a Fairy liquid bottle filled with water to put it out.
What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

When I was a security guard 40+ years ago, a number of posts had manual elevators. I got very good at getting the elevator to line up perfectly with the floor at which I wanted to exist.

After much consideration I have made the formal decision to rewatch the American procedural drama Elementary from the start. There will, of course, be times when I am compelled to compare it to the significantly inferior Sherlock but I will try and keep those outbursts to a minimum.
