Just got reminded why I'm not social on fortnite. Had a guy helping me learn some race techniques. Thought we were having fun. Told what everyone at the immediate time thought was a funny story about how I was a problem as kid. "Well I'd have just beaten ya. You would've learned." So a nine-year-old

1/There's two sides to this coin. I genuinely believe people who do this repeated are obviously dangers to both themselves and others. But if we are going to say driving is a privilege (as it should be) then we also NEED to make sure that communities are built less with cars in mind and more with
I have a LOT of feelings about the cultural attitudes surrounding the idea of driving as an inalienable right. Driving drunk again, and again, and again without losing your license is a disturbing testimony to the grip of car culture.
15 DUIs, still driving: California's failure to take repeat drunk drivers off the road
As alcohol-related roadway deaths spike across the state, a CalMatters investigation finds California has some of the weakest DUI laws in the country.

Gonna boycott anything from @menardsofficial.bsky.social
It was already bad they were allowing ice on their grounds, now they are firing employees for recording their civil rights violations. I hope they get every drop of bad press they deserve for this.

1/2) I'm not a chef, so I wouldn't know for certain, but this is either the greatest compliment, or a massive amount of disrespect. They all just got done making this cake, this "ube." They take one bite and give massive compliments. Lars closes his eyes and basks for a second and when he looks back

1/2) I know a lot of people dislike the townie episodes, but for the record, the more times I rewatch, the more I like Ronaldo. Rewatching season 4, and I just got to "rocknaldo" it stands out to me because they open the episode with a clear stand-in for "casual" or "low-tier" racism.

I think you mean, specifically, the Republican Speaker of the House won't meet because he would then have to swear in the new Congresswoman and that would result in a vote on the Epstein files. Millions going hungry is better than potentially embarrassing the president, in his calculations.

I saw this year's ago and thought it was great. Glad to see he's still circulating.
Hey @erinbiba.bsky.social get a load of this! (It ties into my deeper thoughts about how vampire trends match economic downturns but that’s too scary for a Sunday night.)

SNAP is probably the most effective federal dollar we spend in terms of long term domestic economic outcomes.
that isn’t why you should support it; you should support it because it is a moral imperative to feed the hungry.
but it’s why even a growth-oriented ghoul shouldn’t oppose it.

Let's try something new.
If you donate to a food bank and tell me how much and which one, I'll match your donation.
If it's less than $50, I'll round up.
Tag me, reply here, or DM if you prefer.
Why food banks? Because if we want to survive a general strike, we need to keep people fed.

Now is a really good time to donate to food banks, and do food runs for mutual aid groups. Also, do menstrual product runs.

Frogs in slowly heating water is a popular allegory for being unaware that you are being destroyed in an incrementally worsening situation.
But I'm drawing hope from the past week that we frogs may be a bit more aware of our situation than those allegorical frogs. #Hop
