NEWS: CBS News head of standards Claudia Milne has quit. It was announced in the network’s 9 am editorial meeting. Bari Weiss was not on the call. According to a source, Milne gave thanks but did not say why she’s leaving the network.
Oh Lord that was her job?
It's a no deodorant kind of day.
I don't know that actually. Lol.
Oh in other Strongsville news, saw reports of ICE in a local parenting group. (No silly, not SMDI, I'm still blocked)
to me, a mother of a child in the school system. And those things, such as improving our aging school infrastructure, are something that her opponents want as well.

But she wrote it as "current the aging infrastructure" and I am screaming internally and here. (4/4)
Meanwhile, the postcard I just got from this young woman running for school board is sooo poorly written, it seems a direct attack on the school system she graduated from.

Is she really this dumb?

Plus there's really only a couple things she mentions on the post card that actually matter (3/4)
So it's clear he doesn't realize that police don't stop crime from happening. And also, safer for who? Does more police make Strongsville safer for it's Black residents, for example? (2/4)
Meanwhile here in Strongsville, there's two very young candidates who seem to think that money, connections, and endorsement by the Strongsville GOP entitled them to victory.

This young candidate for City Council thinks "more policing" will make Strongsville "safer", (1/4)
Mine needs to calm tf down so I hear you.
It's already in the plan to see the Mall/monuments. But we're supposed to go to a couple museums that cost is part of the trip. But I doubt if we don't go, it'll be refunded.
I used to think that even if my family treated me as disposable, that at least my in-laws had my back. But that's changed recently.

I love the sentiment that you make your own family but I struggle to make friends let alone "family".

So it goes. Maybe that's why I love nature.
(apparently the v in I've is forgettable this morning)
Wait, I e read this three times. If someone has forgotten about you, then you're forgettable, not unforgettable?

This is a heck of a puff piece right here and it's how I learned that the money came from a guy in the fracking business.
I feel so vitalized at the moment.

Helping my daughter study for both science and social studies tests tomorrow will do that to me.

Just so everyone is clear, the main issue in the Supreme Court voting rights case tomorrow is whether it's racist against white people to enforce the Voting Rights Act.

I'm dead serious. We live in incredibly stupid times.
RIP D'Angelo 😭

Damn you, pancreatic cancer.
Republicans are really poised to ruin our 8th grade DC trip in a few weeks.
Ugh that's sad there was one there in June so there's definitely support out there.
My great grandpa had his name changed but I think it was a problem with the person writing it didn't know how to spell what he was saying.

Then they changed the i at the end to an e when the kids went to school so it sounded "less Polish"
Lots of us have great-grandparents names who were absolutely changed when they came here, and when people say otherwise, they're assuming your great-grandparents name was in the Roman alphabet.
Now, more than ever, it's important to understand why so many the myths we tell ourselves about immigration are actually very harmful.

First of all, your great-great-grandparents names *were not changed* at Ellis Island. No one there had the authority to do that.
