Daughter's intervention specialist wrote that they had an active shooter drill today and that she handled it well.
And I think
-She's been doing them since kindergarten and is desensitized to the thought of gun violence in school
-She probably enjoyed her classmates being quiet and still for once

I love how my mom's group email inviting people for Thanksgiving highlights my daughter as a problem picky eater, while putting her same age cousin on a pedestal as a useful, helpful baker.
My daughter loves to bake and is not the only grandchild with food issues.
