Trump's dementia works for him in just dodging questions because he doesn't know where he's going. I'm not sure she can dodge questions like that (because she doesn't have dementia). I'm also not sure she can do the cruelty party as well either. I have been wrong many times before though.

OpenAI looking for a bailout guarantee from the government seems, uh, bad, considering the fact that its spending on data centers seems to be single-handedly holding American capitalism together

This might be another reason to update your priors around the weakly supported claim that Trump's "they/them" commercials were decisive in 2024.
57% of all ad spending by Republicans in the Virginia governors race was on anti trans ads. Just an incredibly mismanaged campaign. Anti-trans politics are a losing issue.

Tech's current model seems to be

1) overpromise to get financing
2) lend to each other
3) burn through unreal amounts of money
4) ruin existing products
5) embed it into as many sectors as possible
6) count on a bailout

Just watched Virginia AG Jason Miyares' concession speech and it is astounding to hear him claim he made Virginia safer when he actively tried to make mass shootings worse.

He battled even modest restrictions on "pistol braces"—a device that helps you shoot more people with an AR-15 faster.

Mississippi Democrats look set to flip a third seat in the Legislature in tonight's special elections.

Honestly the thing that has me most blown away are the GA Public Service Commission races. Not just Dems winning statewide in GA. They're racking up 20+ point margins. The baseline "if you just hold an election without big $ and natl attention" right now is something like D+25.

Young people in NYC absolutely showed out and there should be 1000 articles and profiles about this. Because we have had to put up with 1000 MAGA diner stories for years now.

Setting the punditry debates aside, today's elections should make it *very* clear that American liberalism's demise has been greatly exaggerated.

People do not like incompetent ham-fisted tyranny. Liberals have a winning hand -- they should act like it!

Congratulations to Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.

Good riddance to disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

If I was a Republican member of Congress watching the results tonight, I’d ask myself if I really wanted my legacy to be: Guy who helped an aging pedophile suspend the constitution so he could enrich himself and his friends.

For the first time in nearly 20 years, Democrats have won non-federal statewide races in Georgia, flipping two seats on the Public Service Commission. A rejection of Trump-era policies that have driven up energy costs and electricity bills. Congrats, Dr. Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard!

Note two important things here:

Jones defeated an incumbent, AG Jason Miyares.

And, this means one less key AG siding with Trump — and another AG and AG's Office that will be litigating against Trump.
JUST IN: And, a closer race, but a huge result: Decision Desk HQ has called Virginia AG for Jones, the Democrat. election-night.decisiondeskhq.com/date/2025-11...
