Do not cite the Deep Horrors to me. I was in Ronald Reagan's America when they were written.
Live your life so your wikipedia entry does not contain a Notable Incidents of Assholery section and more people will speak fondly of you and your work after you die
I think a lot about how Harlan Ellison said in an interview that Agatha Christie’s work would be forgotten five minutes after her death, and (by implication) his work would live on, and nearly the opposite has occurred. I’m not even sneering at Ellison. Just how we don’t understand posterity.

if you told me the feds were monitoring a group called TILF, Turtle Island Liberation Front would not have been the group name I guessed
I'm assuming three-quarters of the people in this group were feds to begin with.

If this is the usual FBI sting operation, you'd also be pretty safe betting that every step of this plot from concept to sourcing to buying fake bomb parts was instigated by informants and undercovers

10am showing of American Psycho. Theater empty except for me and my 3 best high school buds. The one theater bud among us standing on an empty row of seats dancing along with patrick bateman while the rest of us threw popcorn at her.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Most of my conversations with my grandma were her telling me about the goings-on of her neighbors, her extended network of old Jewish ladies, the regulars at her favorite deli, and my cousins.

So unless they're gonna put all those people in my phone with her, I don't see how this is going to work.

I'm fine with certain types of reform for ICE. For example, we could turn them into the Intense Cleanup of the Environment Agency and have them do the manual work of cleaning up Superfund sites.

i will probably keep saying some variation of this because its inevitably going to happen but dems campaigning on “reform ice” need to be met with the same reaction as a someone asking if they can kick your child in the head

Buzz Aldrin punched a guy who accused him of faking the moon landing, he will rise from the grave and do it again, don't tempt him

[reposted because I got my moon guys mixed up, apologies to Mr Buzz and Sen Glenn]
"please someone get AI to do this" is the most pathetic fuckin sentence i have ever read. take a good look at how far the AI revolution has taken us. from "could someone please record this ten second bit and lay it over existing moon landing footage" all the way to "please SOMEONE get AI to do this"
