Probably lettered that one comic you really like. And that other one.

Currently learning art and photography.
I've discussed ZOOTOPIA many times with people who like it but find themselves uneasy about the implied racial allegory of predator and prey animals etc., and I continue to tell them that's the wrong lens – it's not a metaphor, it's FURRY ROLEPLAY.

Gonna say this out loud so none of you ever have this idiotic of a thought:

Ambiguous endings exist to force you to engage with the work thematically instead of literally. The ending is usually obvious if you interpret it through the lens of “what is the book trying to say beyond the plot”
What's going on on that other website?

Had no idea Bloomberg even had comics, never mind that they can be this good
Was reading this, fully hooked and immersed into the sheer horror, while constantly thinking 'Wait, why is this so good?! Who did this?'

Until I got to the end and saw it was Anand RK, with lettering by @adityab.net and then it just made total sense lmfao.

Gah someone linked to this and I can’t find the post-so apologise. But this is a) fantastic comics and b) an utterly horrifying black mirror episode that is made worse because it’s a true story www.bloomberg.com/graphics/202...

I joked about this on the other site, but as AI-generated images come closer to looking like "real" photos, I think it's essential people read Susan Sontag's On Photography. It is a book sceptical of the photo as a 1:1 representation of a happening (and more), and is essential to this conversation.

One of my favourite things about attending IFFI (film festival) was the way people treated a Jafar Panahi movie like it was the latest Mission Impossible – the queue reached outside the venue, fights broke out over getting in, they had to hold a second screening because people complained.
