At the time I would have said either Uncharted 4 or Hitman, and while I still think both were really solid titles, now I have to say Titanfall 2. I just wish so many folks (including me) hadn’t slept on it for so long.

This has been in my head all morning. This is the very first song by スピッツ I ever heard, on a mixtape in 1998 a friend made while in Japan. It made me a fan of the band, but I think I can also credit this song with sending me down the JPop rabbit hole in the first place. This is where it all started.

I don't make myself miserable fighting writer's block. I ride out my demotivated periods, and eventually there's an upswing and I write 50000+ words in like a week.
Honestly, I sometimes wonder if there's some bipolar nonsense going on here.
Either way, I can feel that motivation building again...

I always get these junk emails for tech training seminars, and one I keep seeing is for "Microsoft PowerBi," and listen, while I certainly appreciate their support of the community, I'm not sure we folks of that particular sexual orientation really need a dedicated software solution.

Polling the hivemind: Since I'm boycotting Fortnite, what's a good alternative? Apex Legends is fun, but I don't like being forced to play on a team (sometimes you just want to solo.) PUBG can't run on Linux. What do you recommend to scratch that itch that runs either under Linux or on the Switch?

Took the kids to the nighttime Christmas stuff at Disney Hollywood Studios, and while I'm really glad I finally got to go on all the Star Wars rides (which were super fun!) I'm also glad Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was still open - AND we didn't have to sit through that boring Aerosmith intro skit.

I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.

Annoyances finding a Fortnite replacement:
PUBG and Apex Legends don't run under Linux. Both used to, but neither support it any more.
PUBG no longer runs on PS4, and while Apex does, it looks like it's eventually on the way out there too.
I think my only option at this point is Apex on Switch.
