If our TV networks had not been captured by the right wing, some very easy journalism would be to play this clip besides a very not on fire Portland and then tell viewers that the President of the United States is living in an alternate reality.

Ozzy Osbourne visited my magic shop. He said he'd like to buy some stink bombs. How many? All of them. I had to go through drawers finding every last one. He bought 900 of them. To sign the credit card slip I handed him a shock pen, which he thought was hilarious and bought that too. RIP

We would listen to the FM radio (WHFS) for the Concert Calendar, where a DJ would read a list of upcoming concerts. Then we'd go to the back of the Montgomery Wards department store where the customer service counter had a Ticketmaster machine and we'd hand them cash for paper tickets.
Yep. Or we went to the box office at the venue, which usually involved standing in line (and sometimes sleeping outside the venue overnight to ensure a place in line), or to an "authorized ticket broker" somewhere else.
I would call the ticketmaster telephone number, get a busy signal, hang up and then hit redial and do this over and over again for an hour or so until I got through to a human who would then sell me the tickets.
