3. Understand that Ai has practical uses, like as a diagnostic tool in the medical field, but Instead, It's being violently pushed to replace creative jobs (while being trained with stolen work from those same creatives) It guzzles water, hikes electricity prices and spreads dangerous misinformation
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

The Pokémon Lugia under water, lit from above with dramatic lighting, they are a bird-like dragon thing. This is an acrylic painting on cardboard.

let me note that one of the actual tests here is going to be 'what do people pushing these ideas want for their own children' and I will bet you a lot of money that the answer is 'the elite university model of Harvard et al' not 'learning through AI slop'
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

this is the kind of statement highlighting why i criticize dems and say they need to adopt modern comms. this comment should be repeated on the social media for every congressional dem and denounced in press releases from them all. its not even ideological. blue dogs and super lefties can agree.
this is a prime opportunity for democrats to explicitly tell their voters "they say you're a terrorist, but youre just a patriotic american who is trying to get by in this world."

Nothing really puts the lie to the idea that capitalism is the most efficient and innovative economic system like inventing an entire swathe of jobs that can be done at home cheaper and more efficiently, then throwing a tantrum and insisting everyone drive to the office to use the computer instead
remote work is like birth control or UBI atp where there’s overwhelming research consensus they improve quality of life for people they apply to, yet access is impeded or blocked by the ruling class because the thought of marginalized ppl having rich full lives makes steam come out their ears
2. Rolling Stone is owned by a large media conglomerate, which is ending remote work across its brands.

My home is Portland, Oregon, ~1,000 miles from the nearest office, so this marks the end of the line for me at RS.

My mom says things on our phone calls that prove the NSA isn't listening
look i was recently talking to a septuagenarian life long dem (who shall remain nameless) and generic lib, and she was like “i just think there should be firing squads and they should sell tickets.”

Finished commission for @redcoat.bsky.social , of his minotaur barbarian, Griff, and Griff's squirrel protector, Veverke!

As usual, all done live on stream at www.twitch.tv/thedammitch !

A large, muscular, white-furred male Minotaur stands holding a greatsword reminiscent of 1980s pop culture and films. He is wearing only a red breechcloth and a form of chest strap. On his shoulder is a much smaller male squirrel dressed in leather armor, a green mantle, and colorful hose. The squirrel is raising a sword of his own, and a shield shaped like an acorn, and seems eager for battle and violence, while the minotaur seems unsure! They are from a D&D, Dungeons and Dragons, campaign which the commissioner of this piece plays in. The artwork is done in an advanced cel shading style, similar to American comic books. Artwork by The Dammitch.

The GOP’s blaming Democrats for the shutdown. If Democrats actually had that much power, you’d have paid parental leave and free insulin, not furloughs.
Think I'm choosing Tepig though. Mega Emboar looks the best in my eyes.
Took a peek at Serebii to see what the deal is with the starters' new Megas and by Arceus is Mega Meganium a beastly special sweeper.
