I think the corollary that a lot of people miss about "write what you know" is that *you have the power to know more things.* Research and talking to people are a central part of writing!

I don't really think of myself as a particularly big strategy RPG guy but nearly half of the games I've played this year are strategy RPGs so maybe I'll have to start thinking of myself as a strategy RPG guy.

I'm always saying I wish big franchises made more bizarre spinoffs nobody asked for, and Stranger of Paradise is exactly that. I'm sure absolutely nobody thought this was necessary, but I am so glad this is a game that exists.
