Masking in public, especially when you're indoors or around a lot of people outdoors (such as at a concert/protest or other crowded event), is a really easy way to 1) show solidarity with disabled and chronically ill people and 2) not get anyone sick.

COVID is still here and still dangerous.

If you see an artist at an event who is masked, please, do them a favor. Don't ask why they're masked.

They're most likely masked because covid is still rampant, some regions are having difficulty getting the covid vaccine, and said vaccine has limits on effectiveness. Where's yours?

more and more people are becoming immunocompromised.

and not all artists have salaried jobs they can take sick leave from.

a lot of us could wind up unable to pay rent if we have to take multiple weeks to recover from covid.
