Today is a watershed moment for women’s sports. The Supreme Court is hearing arguments relating to how Title IX will be enforced going forward.

Title IX was created to expand, not exclude. It ensured that everyone could participate, and promised to protect opportunity, access and dignity for all. 👇🏻

Both states will argue today that non-discrimination laws and the Constitution give them the legal right to discriminate.

If arguments about the Constitutional importance of “biological sex” succeed, then it could pave the way for a future of broad gender-based discrimination.
