I just want to remind people that Louis CK masturbated in front of multiple colleagues over the course of many years many of whom because of it chose to leave the profession.
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

Louis C.K.’s Next Chapter
In a new standup special, and a début novel, the comedian navigates murky, post-#MeToo terrain: not quite exiled, not quite welcomed back.

This piece from @ayeshaasiddiqi.bsky.social completely swayed me on Promising Young Woman and it's an interesting read now that we're a ways out from Saltburn and starting a hype cycle for Wuthering Heights. Emerald Fennel's work is not interesting.

Shrimp is doing great! He’s the bravest little lad. If you want to help us recoup the rest of the cost of his vet visit, I have zines for sale or you can leave a tip! 🐈✨

If anyone is able to help me recover what was lost from this unpaid invoice, you may do so through ko-fi.

I'm so sick of this, but I don't really have a choice in the matter. I unfortunately did $300 worth of labor, with nothing to show for it.

For legal reasons, I cannot disclose more than the following:

An invoice amounting to $300 has not been paid to me, despite contacting the contractor multiple times. This is also the case for several other creators.

This is not the first time creators like me have been neglected. 🧵

It's "best of" season which means it's time to look at all of my media trackers and figure out what I read/watched this year that actually came out this year, then trying to determine if any of it is actually groundbreaking or if I just imprinted on it like a duckling.

Hi friends 🩷 thank y’all so much for your help making up half of our unexpected vet bill. Things are especially tight this week and I’m trying not to panic about making rent, the phone bill, and more.

I have zines for sale or you can leave a tip. Anything helps. Thank you. 🩷

I was pretty damn healthy, and COVID nearly killed me. Also left me with the brain fog that knocked me out of Law School for the foreseeable.

If I hadn't been vaccinated, I'd be significantly less vocal on here. (I'll leave that to each of you if that's a good thing or not).
If you don't care about disabled and chronically ill people, you're an asshole.

And furthermore, no one is immune from becoming disabled or chronically ill, especially if they catch COVID. That includes you.

WEAR A MASK & GET YOUR VAX.

Masking in public, especially when you're indoors or around a lot of people outdoors (such as at a concert/protest or other crowded event), is a really easy way to 1) show solidarity with disabled and chronically ill people and 2) not get anyone sick.

COVID is still here and still dangerous.

Rebecca Heineman was cool AF and it sucks that the last weeks of her life were so awful. If you don’t know her/her work, check out the docuseries High Score, read her webcomic, or play some of her many games. She was an icon.

I’ll have more to say when the sun’s up -

Death & grief are intimate companions you have as a disabled person.

The older I get, the truer that is.

My emotions went from celebrating a wonderful night out at the concert to learning of Alice’s transition & being winded.

The world is worse without Alice is Wong. It’s worse without Patty Berne. It’s worse without Tinu. The last year has been so full of mourning for the disabled ancestors who paved the way for us to exist with some semblance of access, with some semblance of respect.

I hope they all rest easy. ❤️

I am heartbroken to lose yet another person that helped me be the person I am today.

When I was struggling immensely about 4 years ago, Alice Wong commissioned me to make a "Suck It Ableism" pin. I'll never forget her kindness and understanding. And the opportunity to work with her.

You were incredible, Alice Wong, and it was a blessing to have collaborated with you on projects, to have read your words and to have heard your voice, as full of life and passion and joy and rage as it was.

You made a difference—so much of a difference.

Rest always in peace, and always in power.
