Hi BlueSky, my name is Robin, I’m an illustrator/self-published/comix dude based in Vancouver BC! I like vintage smut, record collecting, my wife (illustration queen Rebecca Dart), cats, and gardening!

What a babe Roz was! She would come with him to comic conventions all through his life, to be there to support. I have never heard a bad word about Roz. Every bit the legend that her husband was.

Jack and his pal Joe Simon created this, the first issue of Captain America Comics #1, a full year before Pearl Harbor. Many actively supported the Axis at that time - the country was by no means unified against Hitler or the Japanese yet. A comic with a hero punching a head of state? Very ballsy.

I often think about what it must be like, to be one of the last remaining WW2 veterans, bearing witness to the rise of fascism on US soil. They sacrificed everything for their children -- the boomers

My fave comic creator pic of all time: Jack Kirby and his beloved Roz during WWII, just before he shipped out. Jack served in the US Army Infantry, landing in Normandy shortly after D-Day. He marched all the way to Germany, and was left traumatized by the horrors of what he lived through in combat.

I have always loved Portland. One of my fave US cities, if not my favorite.

A few notes on the #canucks game tonight Chytil got two, but easily could have had 4. Big game for him. Demkos shut out was ruined by a bad play by Bains. lekkerimakis drew two penalties and has a shot like a cannon. Sherwood is my second fave Canuck after Huggy. So excited for this season.

I've never worn a "work belt" in my entire life because I'm a softie with gentle delicate hands and an adversity to a hard day's labor. So I just doodled some dumb bullshit that looks kinda like some walkie talkies (?) or something and said "good enough".

Dogs in a carpet is similar to pigs in a blanket, but with added 'wet dog' smell.

haaaay, it's what Keanu was eating in that "Sad Keanu" meme that went viral 15 years ago. You remember the one. (Just kidding, no one retains any information on these fucking phones lol)

He was quite the raconteur. The one time I interviewed him I barely even had to ask any questions

Ok, maybe that was one too many litters of kittens.

A world in which Israeli soldiers are indistinguishable from Nazi soldiers is some shit, ain't it?

I am so sick of the endless meetings. Todd in accounting calls them "beatings", because you feel so worn out after. The Xmas bonus better be fricken good this year, that's all I can say

The new shit. Brand new "nation of language" album just came out last week. Fave album of 2025 so far? Yes, yes it is. Fans of super catchy synth pop will like this. I like that it's able to exist within that genre without feeling deliberately retro, like a lot of modern synthwave is.

It's the little details that make it work. Putting her hair to the one side to make it appear like it was falling down really sold this illusion, doing a lot of the heavy lifting for the "shadow" -- which looks more like what it is, some fabric.
