I don't identify as a woman

I am a woman

The NHS is changing trans people back to birth sex on file, meaning we will not be treated appropriately for our bodies.

This is deadly, completely unacceptable, and the result of hateful far right ideology in our politics and healthcare.

Just got a call from a lovely but very nervous Dr, who advised I wouldn't be routinely screened for breast cancer because I'm not indicated as being "biologically female" on the central NHS database and my biology wouldn't indicate I'm at risk.

My records have been altered, which is upsetting.

This shit is going to kill trans people. Which is of course the point.

i'm not even being remotely hyperbolic. cancer does not give one single fuck about the political claims of the gender critical set about our bodies. it is a biological fact that trans women on HRT have breast tissue and are at risk for breast cancer.

The fact the UK could have a high functioning worker rn if they just gave me the meds I need for the ADHD I already have diagnosed, instead of making me wait on like a decade long waiting list, is kinda funny tbf

I prefer that framing to "my life is spiralling because I cannot function"

Yah I heard you can get lucky with the NHS, but for most GICs and GPs it's a no-go. I ended up picking my private endo purely because I read she prescribed prog

Ah gotcha. Pretty sure I was offered either spiro or cypro by my endo; but then again she does offer prog which isn't generally prescribed here either 🤷‍♀️

ECHR are taking a looksie into the UK's human rights abuses on trans people. The EHRC want to accelerate those abuses, but the government are shook and starting to distance themselves from it. Falkner's tenure is running out so she's big mad the gov are dragging their cold ass feet now

Falkner writing a pissy letter to the minister going “its been six months and trannies are still legal what gives“ is quite funny tho

She's paying £1200 a year for blockers, which is wild. I get Cyproterone for around £80 a year. I'm guessing it's Spiro she'd be supplied

Today’s Caerphilly specific poll shows clearly that unless progressive voters unite with Plaid Cymru, Reform will win.

Greens, Lib Dems and disillusioned Labour supporters - by uniting, we can stop Reform’s division taking root in Wales and deliver positive change 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Long covid made me go from being a fairly competitive rower exercising multiple times a day to a wheelchair user who couldn't walk up the stairs in my own home.

I am doing much better but it has been *years*, and getting sick still floors me in a way it never ever did before. It's no joke.

I recall that the EHRC’s draft guidance on single sex services, currently with ministers, expressly states that religious objections are a legitimate justification for single sex services…

Perhaps someone should tell Steve Reed?

Fenway Health saved my life by providing me with the consultations, medical help, and information that made it possible for me to transition at 18 while being informed. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.

This will hurt so many people.

1. In a major capitulation to Trump, Fenway Health, a center ostensibly dedicated to LGBTQ+ healthcare, has ended its trans care program under 19.

It could have fought for its patients. It chose instead to roll over.

Community members are devastated.

A big problem I have with this whole 'being trans' thing is I'll be wondering if everyone on the street is looking at me because I'm trans or because I'm a lesbian or because I'm a woman (or a mix)

Each of those carries a different kind of social uncomfortability for me

The transphobes always tell us that their individual bigoted and hateful transphobic opinions represent the views of "all women".

This is one of the key dishonesties of anti-trans campaigning.

Statutory or not, it still is not the law: A statutory code of practice is not a law itself, but it is a form of guidance issued by a statutory body.

We've written to @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social to request the government to revoke the 2011 services code and make our updated version statutory. It accurately reflects the law and updated guidance is urgently needed: www.equalityhumanrights.com/media-centre...

The 2011 EHRC statutory services code was the result of almost two years work. Numerous consultations were held with relevant stakeholders, including many women's and trans groups.

By contrast, the proposed 2025 code was assembled within weeks, with a one-month consultation assessed by genAI.
