I’ve done a lot of vampire movies this October, and I must say I’m having a terrific time!

Inthink people should run for senate who neither have Nazi tattoos nor are over 70, a pie-in-the-sky idealist stance sure.

Man I think the lesson the DNC needs to take from this is not that we need more geriatric centrist candidates but that Platner’s campaign platform was so popular it made the secret king of bad vibes mountain a serious contender

we're actually not so hard up for decent political candidates that we need to do nazi tattoo apologia. we can simply demand better of people asking for our votes. it's true! try it!

the president has destroyed the east wing of the white house without so much as a word of input from anyone else to build a royal ballroom paid for with bribes
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

Oh, it is, and more besides. The law ain't shit if no one bothers to enforce it.
Is the White House not protected by law from wholesale destruction like this? On the block I grew up on in Philly, there were strict rules about making ANY alterations--installing an air conditioning unit, for example--because the houses were historically protected. And we owned our house, mind you

"Anything we can actually do, we can afford." We can have a more equal, more prosperous, and more just nation as soon as we embrace this.
Keynesianism is like Ozempic in that it's something that works but makes people mad because they want moral hazard to be involved
There’s a certain kind of person who thinks Keynesian stimulus is “putting off” a necessary correction and I’m always amazed how many of them there are.

it shouldn't be difficult to understand that the ACA was very underwhelming for those of us who wanted nationalized healthcare and expected it, but also destroying aca as it exists would be terrible and kill millions.

ARPA: By creating a dense network with decentralised nodes, we can make a resilient communications system.

AWS: What if we used that same system to centralise all the nodes?
PSA: we're aware that Signal is down for some people. This appears to be related to a major AWS outage. Stand by.

Off year elections are both a voter suppression technique and really, really annoying.

seems that RFK is clearing the path for his CDC to do tuskegee syphillis experiments as a matter of course. in other news, RFK is a genuine monster who relishes in the pain and suffering of those he feels he has control or dominion over
RFK is undoing human subjects protections so he can conduct placebo trials of vaccines. That means infecting people knowingly. I wonder who will “volunteer” for these trials? If history is any guide, a lot of incarcerated and other powerless people.
Dismantling the Institutional Review Board (IRB), that oversees all human subjects research, is bad. Really bad.

Do you want jewels but aren't up for the challenges of stealing them from the Louvre?
Happy Saturday everyone! I have a jewelry shop focused on fused glass that I make by hand in my kiln.

I’m so excited about this. This is a real fucking crime, not some boring-ass crypto scam run entirely from a chair.
