This was true in October 2016 when the Washington Post editorial board posted it, and it has been proven true every day since.

Also, Greg Bovino allegedly asked a reporter, “Did Judge Ellis get hit in the head by a rock like I did this morning? … Maybe she needs to see what that’s like before she gives an order like that.”

I still can’t believe Scott Bessent, whose net worth is $521 million, went on TV and claimed that he “has felt the pain” of the trade war because he is a “soybean farmer.”

And he claims to be a “farmer” not because he grows things, but because he is a landlord of some farmers.

In the Times today there’s an op-ed saying that childless women may have legitimate “private” reasons for declining to give birth. But one reason I have is not private but explicitly political: I want my life to serve as a rebuke to the notion that childbearing is women’s highest or truest calling.

It’s no surprise that Trump would lie about Reagan adamantly opposing tariffs.

He lies about everything.

It is however surprising that the @RonaldReagan foundation would help him do it.

What a disgrace.
To paraphrase their cult leader, they’ve been getting whiplash from the hypocrisy of party leaders for so long that they don’t know what the f they’re doing.

The Ronald Reagan video denouncing tariffs, which Donald is in such a snit about, was posted to YouTube eight years ago. It is authentic. Donald is lying. It is not AI.

We are living in such twisted times, when Ronald Reagan's own words are offensive to Republicans.

Voting for the guy who basically killed your father over the other guy because some people lie about the other guy's beliefs is quite something.
I mean what do you even say. Ideology trumps material reality every day of the week.

42M Americans use SNAP. Every $1 in SNAP generates $1.50–$1.80 in economic activity, billions that keep our towns running. So while you’re busy telling a disabled senior or a full-time working mom to “get a job,” ask why the Trump admin wants to hurt the U.S. economy on purpose.

He orders extrajudicial killings. He sent troops into our cities. He terrorizes citizens with ICE raids. He raised taxes without congressional approval. He has ruined American farmers and ranchers. He plans to starve the vulnerable. He demolished our house.

Remove him from office.

After working on his ballroom all week and destroying the East Wing of the WH, Trump is now flying around the world to make deals with autocrats while refusing to negotiate with Democrats to reopen the US government.

If—and this is a huge "if"—it allows the unilateral presidential imposition of tariffs at all, IEEPA does so only in the context of an "unusual and extraordinary threat ... to the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States."

Which of those is "Trump got his feelings hurt"?

Gallego: "It's murder. It's very simple. If this president feels they are doing something illegally, then he should be using the Coast Guard. If this is an act of war, then you use our military and then you come and talk to us first. But this is murder ... it's disgusting."

Yes, typically asbestos filled structures are demolished in a few days with no mitigation measures and dumped by a golf course under a mesothelioma cloud.
WELKER: Why didn't the president tell the public he was going to tear down the entire East Wing, which as you know is part of the people's house?

BESSENT: Well, I think this was a judgment call on the president. The president is a master builder. It could've been asbestos. It could've been mold.

For an administration that came out of the box threatening Canadian independence, Greenland’s sovereignty, the Panama Canal, etc., it sure has a glass jaw. 🤡
WELKER: Why is the president setting trade policy based on a TV ad he doesn't like?

BESSENT: This is a kind of propaganda against US citizens. It's psyops

About 60% of U.S. workers are not white men. Wouldn't know it from Trump's Department of Labor.

Are we still supposed to pretend that neither bigotry nor misogyny are key to Trumpism?
I made an image of all the art posted by US DOL on X since approximately Labor Day

This is true—Bessent owns $25 million of farmland in North Dakota—and a reminder of why farm bailouts are nothing more than a giveaway to feudal lords who demand the government grossly distort agricultural economics to make their tax haven "farms" even more valuable to them.
Bessent on American farmers being hurt by tariffs: "Martha, in case you don't know it, I'm actually a soybean farmer, so I have felt this pain too."

I know this is obvious. And I know we all know this.
But if the President can raise taxes because an advert annoyed him, without even consulting Congress, then the US constitution is simply not functioning as intended.

“law-breaking”
By proceeding with the demolition of the White House East Wing before seeking approval from federal agencies for a new ballroom, President Donald Trump forced the issue. It's a strategy known as "stake-driving."
How Trump Demolished the White House East Wing
By putting the demolition of the East Wing before the necessary approvals for his ballroom, President Donald Trump borrowed a tactic known as “stake-driving” to force an outcome.

But I was informed by the WH and some members of the media that Karoline’s Leavitt’s statement was taken out of context and this isn’t his main priority.
“Precise positioning?” 🤔

Is it the same level of precision as when he:

• Accuses the election system of being rigged after it allowed him to take office twice
• Promises better ACA replacement since 2015
• Pulls ego-driven tariff percentages out of his butt
• Promises drug price discounts of >100%

Something unexpected happened at the @meidascanada.ca town hall in Victoria.
A group of young Afghan girls who escaped the Taliban showed up and asked to speak. They told their story of the fight for education and the need for Canada to help.
We will be sharing their story.

I know this was true for my little town when we still had the market where I worked.

One of the supers down the hill changed owners, and somehow their EBT contract didn’t transfer? Anyway they couldn’t accept EBT for over a month, and nearly folded. One of the busiest supermarkets in the county.
Grocery Store Girlie here, and I can attest that a massive number of food purchases, especially in the urban stores I’ve worked in, are SNAP. At least 30%.

People are going to be desperate. I’ve said this before, but this is potentially “people in the streets overthrowing the regime” level stuff.
Really dont think people are prepared for what happens if snap checks dont go out
