Michelle Wu ended up with nearly 70% of the final vote tally in Boston's preliminary election against someone who didn't kill seniors or harass women (AFAWK). Mamdani is a much more dedicated progressive than she is, so hitting those kind of numbers is well within the realm of possibility.

Okay I said this as a joke but apparently that’s actually his plan

mayoral candidacy would resonate with. In August 2025, he criticized Mayor Eric Adams for failing to solve the city's rat problem, despite Adams having appointed a "Rat Czar" in 2023. Sliwa suggested that feral cats let loose in the city would be a more effective way of dealing with rats than the current methods employed.

Having a close relative get very sick, get hospice care, die and then having to take care of everything they left behind really alerts you to how much most people suck at their jobs. There are exceptions, but Jesus Christ, so many people (including highly paid ones) are continually shitting the bed
