a lot of shared URLs (e.g. from TikTok) are shortened, so the way to clean them is open them in a browser to load the actual location, then delete all the tracking garbage from the end

Back in the blogosphere days, I belonged to a community that learned that the fastest way to get trolls to implode was to be relentlessly silly and jokey and to refuse to treat their crap seriously
