Diverse points of view are good — people from different backgrounds, assumptions, etc.

"Diverse opinions" is bullshit. People have intrinsic value, but opinions only have value to the extent they have justifications.

People deserve a modicum of respect. Opinions deserve nothing unearned.

"spamming of children" is the best phrase I've seen to describe Musk's approach to what should be one of the most vulnerable, precious, and wondrous mysteries of being human

or (he vainly hopes) to love him. It's impossible not see some reflection of that in Musk's massive spamming of children (officially he has 14 that we know of, and has talked about using surrogates to birth far more), allegedly using IVF to select only XY male embryos and demanding C-sections under the weird backwards belief that caesareans cause larger brains. His belief that his children are his property - his tools, an extension of his own ego - are most obvious in his sickening cruelty towards his estranged trans daughter, about whom Musk publicly said "I lost my son... My son is dead... killed by the woke-mind virus".
(She is very much alive.)

It unnerves me that we are already used to computers lying to us in some ways. Phone cameras do a bunch of processing before you see an image, so those pictures are not a direct index of the light that hit the lens.

GenAI lies are much lower quality than that.
