Hi Amanda, foreigner here. I know you are doing the weird American cultural thing of "this is a purity test!!!" but in my country we distinguish between "people who are Normal Now and willing to work with you" and people who freak out like you are now when this sort of context is brought up.

Most really have. Your "conversion" from a young Republican to a liberal is evidence of them fooling a young person, not a lack of vitriol on their part. The phenomenon you're describing is the veneer of respectability they used to bother with, which modern ones increasingly discard.

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.

That’s why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed — because Young Republicans weren’t radical enough.

He was always going to do this. Chicagoans have not rioted, so the administration just lied and said we have. We have not attacked ICE agents, so they just lied and said we did. There was no chaos here, so they created chaotic scenes by attacking people and filmed that shit.
