Yup, that is my view, though maybe 'depicted' is now confusing: I'd use, say, 'painted'. (And painted Fs really exist, of course, even if they're not real Fs.)

Really depressing. I don't think it's so bad in the UK, but it's not great, and there seems to be a systematic determination by medics here not to let a diagnosis of Long Covid stand, and to rediagnose people as suffering from some already recognised, and generally ignored, other condition.

Or perhaps to deny it.

(Also, if you haven't, do look into B12/cobalamin deficiency.)

In the UK there seems a pretty clear determination not to let Long Covid diagnoses stand: people get pushed into one or another antecedently acknowledged condition: ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, etc..

This is absolutely terrible, but sadly not uncommon around Long Covid. Mind you, there is someone not far from you that I've heard on a podcast and was v impressed by. I don't know if you can get to see him:

So was Michael Ryan. So was Thomas Hamilton.

You wonder how many wives charge fees for a glass of wine.

I must say, I thought that was the normal English spelling, which only went once word-processing programs came in, but I'm not sure I have any evidence of that.

(I think the corresponding ordinary English word is just 'roll'.)

Originally an import from French, where it is spelled like that.

Headline from a serious and long working paper on the economic impact of Brexit. Possible that this has been feeding into OBR and HMT discussions?
