That said, I've kind of fallen out of love with Pokémon games in general as well. I still like the designs but I've been able to commit to each generation less and less before eventually just sitting out of the latest one.

I'm not really hostile to it but I always liked to play through the games with completely new ones—and by the time I got to when I was okay with transferring, I was usually too attached to the new ones to do anything with the originals. Eventually I sort of gave up on doing the transfers at all.

A lot of the comments and such (even the writer) are focused on either "haha gym bros have lead poisoning" or "people don't need to take supplements cause diet can give you enough"

Meanwhile every person using protein shakes to deal with a medical condition somehow is losing their mind

my latest investigation for @consumerreports.org is based on months of reporting and 60+ lab tests of leading protein supplements

we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day (🧵)

Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.

NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

I could've told you that back in 2001, when Bionicle sets with different equipment cost the same price. Turns out that when customers are judging value it's more important to keep things similar for products with the same packaging than to keep the profit margins identical for everything!

Just saw an AFOL compare the BttF Speed Champions set (which has minifigs) to the Cars one (which doesn't) as a sort of "gotcha", or some proof that Lego prices are totally arbitrary, and like... congratulations, you've discovered how price points work! Great detective work, gumshoe!

Politicians who meet fascists half way, are just fascists.

Newsom is all about publicity & nothing about integrity.

It’s been depressing watching American ppl hero-worship a power crazed sell-out. It’s not just Kimberly Guilfoyle & cosmetic surgery he has in common with the Trumps. READ this:
erininthemorning.com
1. Yesterday, the press gave Gavin Newsom favorable coverage for signing pro-LGBTQ+ bills.

Little noticed, however, was that he vetoed one of the most important ones: a bill allowing trans people 12 month HRT stockpiles, protecting them from federal threats.

Gavin Newsom Vetoes Important HRT Stockpiling Bill For Trans Californians, Signs Other Pro-LGBTQ+ Bills
The bill would have allowed transgender people to maintain a safe supply of medication in the era of government crackdowns on care.

i’m no expert on corpse logistics but does israel thinks the palestinians have had access to a morgue fridge for the last year or two? those bodies are probably underneath the building israel bombed on top of them.
so now they’re going to use collective punishment?

Like don't get me wrong, I'm not surprised that the MAGA right would slander any mass movement that opposed them, regardless of how truly radical it was. But it doesn't make the doublethink required to believe a claim like that any less bewildering.
lyichir.bsky.social
As somebody with object permanence it feels extremely bizarre for them to frame the extremely vanilla "No Kings" movement as being so radical. Like these are protests that, at least for the last one, were extremely non-disruptive and vague in their goals.

i cannot stress enough that kotaku, a video game website run on fumes and dreams, had substantially higher editorial standards in 2012 than CBS does in 2025
nycsouthpaw.bsky.social
Auspicious start for the new CBS News, laundering unattributed cop shit-talking through the incoming editor-in-chief’s blog and failing to correct a misspelling of the story subject’s name in the web headline for three days.

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

watching the UKs green party elect an actual unafraid leftist into leadership and see party membership double in under a month is once again endless proof that if you stand up for leftist causes and treat the electorate like adults, you’ll win people over easily

Israel has banned Palestinians from celebrating the release of Palestinian prisoners [hostages] & banned their families from giving interviews

Contrast that with the celebrations around the release of Israeli hostages & the many interviews being broadcast around the world.

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.

There is absolutely zero chance that a man who took $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from an FBI agent on camera would have been appointed to any position by any other president.
