Thing is, women can’t trust that men will actually respect their friendship status bc so many are socially inept and can’t handle friendship with a woman bc they’re either harboring romantic feelings waiting for the time to pounce, or they think they can fuck just bc they’re friends and have access.

We can’t move away from

And in this same vein, it's why women want those intentions stated clearly. The amount of women who have stories about men using "friendship" to then swoop in when they're emotionally vulnerable then do a complete 180 once they have sex is also a factor here.

I ask that because, for a lot of men "go with the flow" actually means "I want to have sex with you, and you have to settle for very diminishing returns"
