And in this same vein, it's why women want those intentions stated clearly. The amount of women who have stories about men using "friendship" to then swoop in when they're emotionally vulnerable then do a complete 180 once they have sex is also a factor here.

and as a result any romantic rejection is perceived as a statement of your personal worth rather than any of the other number of reasons someone might reject you.

We also have to stop viewing incompatibility as rejection.
That’s another culture issue but that’s neither here nor there.

Yes and no.

A lot of Americans have main character syndrome real bad and it displays itself as egotism. I think it’s easier to internalize rejection when you approach the world that way.

We also need to deprioritize romantic connection as a culture.

$70 for a cut is insane. My barber have went up but my cut is still only $30. I know people who charge $100 for a cut and people pay it. Point being is people will pay whatever for a cut if they have it.

And I don’t believe barbers are getting more business. They’re just doing less volume at a higher rate. Basically working less for the same bread. No hate. It’s a free market. But a working man can’t run $70/wk for a cut
