But like I kind of get it. If you're old and live in Miami County, Republicans built most of our public works (often with the sweet stolen valor of federal grant money, but still). And I think being super pro-business is easier if you come from a time when the businesses were primarily local.

And frankly, I think it's because the HQ usually mails out those sample ballots. Plus, 90% of our elected officials are Republican.

For people in red areas who want good government, but the GOP *is* the government. They Make Things Go. It's not an issue of messaging but of simple, like, validity.

Every October, a handful of folks will appear at City Hall looking for the Miami County GOP headquarters (which has no physical building in off-years, and is never on gov property lol).

Usually they're looking for a sample ballot. So I print the BOE one.

We had a delightful older lady yesterday.
