I was watching the 1951 remake of M and they did one of these unironically. There weren't any lines like this in the original

M (1951). A bunch of gangsters sitting around the table, discussing the recent string of child murders and the increased attention they're receiving from the cops as a result. One says, "They're going to like that!" Another replies, "What an operation this is going to be."

Same scene. The boss replies, "That's right. A major operation."

Same scene. The boss continues, "Operation 'M.'" One of his underlings replies, "'M?' I don't get it."

Same scene. Another one of the underlings replies, "'M' for murderer, dope."

On Saints Row we had a debug npc named Skinballs (lol) that was literally just four spheres wrapped in different shades of skin texture so we could test lighting for different skin tones during development. But teams need to plan for that kind of testing with intentionality, and not enough do.

I only barely started it but I kinda like the new Pokemon Legends game more than I was expecting. The setting/premise is not as cool as Steampunk Sinnoh but the UI and battle system feel like nice refinements of the first game

It's really crazy how long it took for Toriyama to catch on in the US. I don't think it's the fault of actual consumer tastes, just American media companies misreading them. My brother used to watch Dragon Ball GT in Spanish because it hadn't been licensed for English broadcast yet

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy passed away today according to the House of GG. She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.
