The best Startrek Online game wouldn't be a traditional MMOG format, but rather a peer to peer experience.

You create a starship (game server) and any number of junior characters.

You can spend time in your ship just doing cosy stuff like maintenance puzzles, side quests and so forth.

I post about this every year, but if you're new: my parents are Halloween freaks. Really a lot. To the point where it might as well be a film set. They've done a haunted circus, saloon, laboratory, crypt, forest, coven, etc. They once built half a pirate ship.
