A big question: It's been at least 18 days since the independent autopsy was done on Trey Reed's body—where are the results?

For perspective: The formal state autopsy was performed on Sept. 17 with results on Sept. 18.

The private autopsy was done before Sept. 27.

We still don't know the outcome.

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

You're right to be concerned, to want to hold folks accountable, to press for the truth. But to loudly insist on a version of events that as of yet has not been confirmed does nobody any favors.

This young man's story deserves to be handled with care and respect. Can we do that?

I'm gonna say something re: Trey Reed. It's reckless and disrespectful for y'all to insist that someone died via a lynching when we currently do not have concrete evidence to indicate it. We cannot go off of vibes, bad though they may be, to determine what happened here.
