In the months after Harris’ loss, much was made over the demographic shifts in the party. Young voters, Hispanic voters and Black voters — all central to the Democratic coalition — had moved substantially to the right. But Priorities’ post-election polling revealed an equally staggering swing: Between 2020 and 2024, people who consumed at least three hours of YouTube a day had moved 10 points toward Trump — a bigger swing than Black voters, Black men, young voters and a slew of other categories that were dominating headlines.

“The driver of behavior in ‘24 was so much more about your media consumption,” Butterfield said.

A pumpkin carved with a human shaped opening, and then the guy from The Enigma of Amigara Fault by Junji Ito has been cut out with a text bubble saying “it was made for me!” And attacked to the pumpkin so it recreates the scene from the manga where the guy is climbing into the human shaped hole in a cliff side except now it’s a human shaped hole in a pumpkin.

I've gotten into this habit over the last decade or so of basing the vast majority of my Halloween and Mardi Gras costumes on a typical men's suit. I really like it; I'm fancy like that.

Me wearing my gargoyle costume, which is almost completely purple. A purple men's suit, paper mache gargoyle mask with horns, a fake medieval column concealing my legs, and fake paper mache legs perched on top.

Me wearing my Cerberus costume; a paper mache three-headed dog mask with a spiky collar, and a men's suit decorated with some flame graphics. The suit and mask are black, and my shirt and shoes and the dog collar are all red.
