If you would like to try Linux, then for the average user I recommend Mint as the most user friendly and least restrictive of the "Windows like" distributions.

You can test it by running Linux from a USB stick, without having to install it delete anything.

Windows 10 goes out of support today. My fave useless fact about w10 is that the iconic blue desktop background is a *photograph* - not CGI.
