I've seen an indie TTRPG project through to completion, worked with half a dozen artists and never once did I have to turn to AI to provide references for any of them. I was able to cobble together collages, moodboards and references myself. Not once did I have to turn to image generators.

I'm annoyed at the Larian AI bomb.
Not because I saw them as a friend or infallible, but because they've made several great games without AI, and they absolutely would again.
And then decided not to.
At least I don't have to allocate any more excitement for it now that they're waving that flag.
