I don't like to dress cats up in clothes, but for Halloween I do put stealth costumes on Francie when she's sleeping.

My fluffy white cat Francie curled up in a ball. Placed in the center of the white circle her body forms is a round piece of paper decorated with marker to look like a green human iris. It makes Francie look like a big hairy eyeball.

I don’t know why this bugs me as much as it does, but the thought of this little 42-seat movie theater being reduced to splinters is infuriating. So much movie history, wiped out.

The White House's historic movie theater was demolished along with the building's entire East Wing. The demolition came as part of a construction project that will build a 90,000 square-foot ballroom.

I think it’s good and important to spread the word about companies that are doing bad things and offer people alternatives to those companies that aren’t evil. I also think shouting “cancel that!” “Stop using that!” “Why are you still on that!” isn’t a great way to help ease people’s transitions.

there's so much happening, as kevin's thread here illustrates ... but I am just gobsmacked that he demolished a third of the white house. the heavy-handed symbolism of that alone takes us back once again to the inevitable conclusion that we live in a satirical universe written by a total hack.
