If I could evangelize one thing about quitting, it would be to not beat yourself up if you try to quit and it doesn’t stick. See it as process, not failure. Relapse is discouraging, but it’s part of the process for a lot of people.

I smoked between a quarter and half pack a day for 18 years, quit seven years ago, and never looked back. It was like my 7th or 8th quit attempt, but I was ready and it stuck. I have never once wanted a cigarette since then. It really can happen.

Just realized yesterday was the 20th anniversary of the last time I smoked a cigarette. If you’re a smoker and you’re thinking about quitting, I’m proof that it can be done. I smoked at least a pack a day for a dozen years, and now I never have cravings. You can do it too!

IMO we have already reached a point where people shouldn't trust images, video, or audio unless it is backed up by people you trust, be it a personal acquaintance, journalist, etc. Even if we think we can tell AI now, you won't know once you can't.

There’s an inflammatory video going around that I’m pretty sure is AI. The camera work is too smooth, the audio is too clean, and it plays too strongly to our biases. I’m not 100% sure so I’m not calling it out directly, but please remember that AI slop is very convincing now. Be careful out there.
