I got some great pictures of @pk421.bsky.social from his friends & coworkers today when I stopped by to check out their new office.

I know they feel the loss of him everyday, too

Hug your people & tell them you love them every chance you get.
A happy man with a big smile, wearing a flannel top, with his arms crossed across his chest. A man sits in front of several computer screens while looking at them with a serious look on his face. Angle is from the side. He is wearing a baseball cap & hoodie. And AI rendering of a happy man smiling with his arms crossed, with an ocean behind him & swirls of colorful light in the sky behind him, made to look like a Starry Night.

Fun fact: humans aren’t made of sugar and we don’t melt in the rain.

If you show your kids how to dress for the weather, they learn quickly and may even enjoy it!

My 7yo on our rainy walk this AM: “the leaves look so pretty falling from the trees w/ the rain drops.”

“We can give $20 billion to Argentina but we can’t afford the CDC’s measles experts” is a hell of an argument
I wish!! Nope - just me on my own, biking out for an overnight at Carver. Such a beautiful day!
This is definitely THAT weekend in MN when you can’t fit in all the things that are happening outdoors, but you sure as hell try!
A cyclist riding on a dirt path with sunshine being filtered by fall-colored trees.
Hoping I don’t freeze my ass off tonight 🤩
A bike leaning against a picnic table, loaded with camping gear. A tree in the background is changing colors for fall. A cup of coffee & a latte with the words, “Five Watt” on the cup.

So much fun riding around St Paul tonight, dumb dangerous concrete bollards back blocking the Shepard bike path not withstanding.

Thanks to @joyfulridersclub.bsky.social for bringing the party!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Health insurance shouldn't exist, and healthcare is what you provide to anyone needing healthcare... WTF is hard about any of this 🤷‍♂️

If her baby is IN her placenta, she has far bigger problems than Tylenol.
RFK Jr: "Somebody showed me a TikTok video of a pregnant woman at 8 months pregnant -- she's an associate professor at the Columbia Medical School -- and she is saying 'F Trump' and gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta. The level of Trump Derangement Syndrome is now a pathology."

No women, no safety

Women on bikes are the indicator species of a city’s cycling health.

If you don’t see many of us, it’s not about lack of interest — it’s about safety.

Unfortunately, this isn’t Omsk. This is Los Angeles. 😭 The Chevron Refinery is on fire.

First day of #WeekWithoutDriving was a breeze. I’m glad MPLS is taking strides to make it easier to live car-free.

This yearly event challenges us to put ourselves in the shoes of kids, elders, disabled and justice impacted people who don’t have cars and/or licenses. Join us!
My daughter just took the Borealis yesterday & is enjoying a day in Chicago before heading back tomorrow.

Her pictures have been so much fun.
An observation train car that is filled with windows and seats that face out for people to enjoy the views from the train. There are several people sitting in the seats. This appears to have e been taken in the afternoon, on a sunny day. This picture is taken from a seat at a concert venue. This seat appears to be very high & it is looking down onto a stage with a grand piano in the middle of it. There are many lights around the top of the picture & many seats towards the bottom, with the stage being in the middle of the frame.

E-bike subsidy programs are one of those perfect policies with zero downsides. Accessible, healthy, low cost, and moves people away from car use. AND IT MAKES PEOPLE REALLY HAPPY!!
“Now I can see the world again.”

Steven Leonard has been housebound since 2010, since a bad back surgery left him unable to walk. Then his wife, Muriel, found out about the City of Boston's E-Bike Incentive Program.

The Blue Line's outage is a stark reminder of the efficiency of rail transit. Just to provide a basic replacement service, Metro Transit has had 25-30 replacement buses out at a time, more than double the usual number of trains on the line, and the end-to-end trip time is also double!
