Pokemon is well-known for false choices in their dialogue- but in Scarlet/Violet a character asks you if you want to be "Rivals for life" and if you keep saying "No" she keeps asking more and more aggressively until she's just yelling "YOU. ME. RIVALS. YES?". It always gets me for some reason.

well the russian people are under the occupation of a gangsterist regime, that's been the case since the fall of the USSR, for the world to want the UKR crisis to resolve would be to have more than shrugging at Putin and NATO, and acknowledging the roots of the problem

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

I guess I'm just a little leery of how effective they are. I've studied a lot of police states and fascist regimes, and very few- if any- are overthrown by peaceful protests and democratic elections.

Of course I'll still go and support them. Just worried it isn't enough.
