My big travel secret is to just check my damn bag. My carry-on fits u see my seat. I don't have to play the Hinger Games fight for overhead space. I just have another drink at the bar and saunter on when the line is shorter or even gone

I can tell this is flight from Canada to the UK because everybody has lined up super early, all looking slightly glum yet quietly proud of their queuing prowess.

This is especially desperate because the most effective part of the product is the part that gets vulnerable people hooked on the chatbot through sycophancy. A subscription flattering c porn chatbot from the company pretending to be a nonprofit “ensuring AGI benefits all of humanity” is some shit.

Tell me you're desperate for revenue without telling me.

Seriously, imagine your elevator pitch is "we offer an AI that revolutionizes the enterprise, answers questions at a PhD level, and also talks dirty to horny young men." It would be like if PornHub was selling a productivity suite.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced in a post on X Tuesday that ChatGPT is officially getting into the fuckable chatbots game, with “erotica for verified adults” rolling out in December.

I'm writing this as someone who actually gets useful value out of ChatGPT. That said I wouldn't be surprised if a few years down the line Anthropic and/or open source LLMs will be the last ones standing.

Somewhere at OpenAI there's a whiteboard calendar with at least one thing filled out per week. Sometimes it's a 100 billion dollar investment that will never actually happen, sometimes it's a slop video social network. Today it's kink bots

Keep that hype cycle running and you might just stay afloat

In 2018, I asked an Australian Atlantic Gold exec why they weren’t mining gold in Australia. He said his boss liked living in Vancouver. So I asked why they were mining gold in NS, not BC. His reply: “Because the rules in NS are even more lax in N.S. than they are in BC.” www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

A new Nova Scotia government website will make it easier for mining companies to track the progress of permit applications, but for now there are no plans to give the public access to that information...

Sam Altman went from “AI will cure cancer" to "ChatGPT porn" in less than a month
ChatGPT boss predicts when AI could cure cancer We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.

This is truly terrifying.

It isn't even 9am yet and I've already done more than 3 hours of work, fixed a server, deployed three different apps for testing, and had a meeting.

This is not a LinkedIn hustle brag - I'm just leaving town tomorrow and everything's hitting that "last minute" wall

There were at least two ceasefires under Biden! In which more than five times as many living Israeli hostages were released in exchange for 240 Palestinians! Has everyone forgotten this?

Also, ceasefires have happened under prior Presidents! The day he gets Palestine their own country he can be told he's the most special boy deserving of a shiny prize.

Say what you will about these folks, they’re considerably more interesting than Thiel is.
A trio of self-described "satanists" dressed in black costumes with goth makeup walked up and down the line of attenders carrying a goblet of red liquid with a small plastic replica of a bone. "Will you bring our dark lord Peter Thiel this baby's blood?" they asked. Then they performed what they called a "dark ritual", dancing slowly in a circle to Mozart's Requiem in D minor, which ended with them writhing on the city sidewalk, and yelling: "Take us to your personal hell... Thank you for being our dark lord."

I have a "play money" amount in crypto just in case it does another 10x again, so it's been interesting to watch it do a big run up this week and then wake up this morning to a big slide.

It's interesting that in 2025 crypto is mirroring the markets rather than countering them, unlike, say, gold.

It's the purest contemporary franchise in this way. No one really cares, the lore is inconsequential/nonsensical, but some proprietary and incorrect numbers suggest it's worth making another one. The result looks decent and gets some talented people paid. Cool. Two more Event Horizon movies please.

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again
