As always, Asha is the best -- especially for those who think visually!
Not sure who needs to hear this, but the Insurrection Act isn’t the same as “martial law.” It authorizes the molitary to engage in civil law enforcement. And not clear that even then, whether they can enforce state criminal laws

Today's JJK episode was just a yap session but they made it visually interesting thanks to those amazing visuals, it's beautiful

> What I've enjoyed about editing for other people is that my form of subtitling tends to be unorthodox. I like animating the words or emphasizing how one talks. If I'm going to do burn-in subtitles, I might as well try to visually represent the dialog. I do wonder if this makes it less accessible.

A visually impaired great horned owl was found dumped at the roadside, sealed in a bag with her feet zip-tied. Suffering from head trauma and severe infection, she may not survive. The person responsible must be found. Demand justice. link.ladyfreethinker.org/owlhelp

I too, love having long passwords that I occasionally have to enter blindly on a mobile screen with "keys" that have no tactile feedback for which key I'm touching where, in hands that require 2XL gloves.

Can't imagine how much more it sucks for the visually impaired, mobility impaired...

True. What more do people want? What more evidence do they need?

If he walks like a duck, swims & quacks like a duck, face it. He’s a Nazi. No matter how many American flags he hugs.

(Below is a literary allusion, visually rendered. Don’t panic if you don’t understand it.)

@waterstones.bsky.social

Can’t wait to be back at your wonderful bookshop - where I spent so many happy hours when I was doing my PhD at #UCL! - to launch this at 6.30 on Monday 9 March… All welcome. It will be a fast and furious, entirely visually-based event!

one thing it would be neat to see in a visually impaired character with light sensitivity is that the daylight saps my energy like i am a vampire. i look out of a window and 1 i cannot see shit 2 i get floaters really bad 3 i genuinely feel like i am going to pass out. sunlight makes me so tired.

But nobody is visually naive any longer. We are cluttered with images, and only abstract art can bring us to the threshold of the divine.

That paired with my selective approach to shading and color leads to visually interesting texture in my art in my opinion!

visually i think my colour work and lighting has come a long way, and some of my greyscale rendering for materials has been really good. tbh i'm good at not dwelling in the imposter syndrome which i think is one of the reasons i'm able to continue pulling myself out of burnout rn!
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Is anyone brave eniough? 👀

Enter judgment routers. Agents that have the 'signing authority' delegated from the so-called human in the loop. Being able to see visually on a dashboard what's been approved, what's in a queue and being able to send upward or downward things that need escalation vs things that can be greenlit

As much as I would normally agree… the official statements coming from the gov’t are blatant and visually provable lies. All factchecking will not be settled until this is over and only by whichever side comes out on top.

We are officially in “shoot first, ask questions later” territory.

On the other hand, some of my FAVORITE things

How easy it is to access cosmetic variations of blocks and furniture/building items

Joining my friend's world is super easy

Combat is fun

Ores are visually distinct and appealing

Felling trees from the bottom

Pulling crafting items from chests

Gave it another chunk of my time and yeh I don't think I vibe with Unbeatable too much.
Really wanted to like it bc visually I love everything that's going on, but there's a lot its doing that just ehhh

No frantic action scene one after another! I can relax when watching the show and don't have to worry about missing this or that callback or Easter egg - there's time! I love the soundtrack (the hints of "Ilia's theme!" 🥲) and the show is visually beautiful. 2/3

It's frankly insane what Retro pulled off.

So many games will be visually compared to Prime 4 now that we know what's possible on Switch 1 & 2!
